I added a new bank acct and paid using it successfully. The failing bank acct is still failing with the vague “There was an issue with your payment. Try again later.”. I contacted that bank, and they see no evidence of even an attempted transaction – so it’s not the bank that is rejecting the transaction.

Absolutely absurd. Update- still was happening after a month. Had to delete and make a new account, put in support ticket to have bank and card info removed from previous account, and finally added back onto the new account. which works (for now)
