Is NHS free for students?

You’re entitled to free NHS prescriptions if you’re: Under 16. Aged 16-18 and in full time education. Aged 60 or over.

The Students’ Health Service remains open during the national lockdown, however we are altering how we work to to protect our staff and our patients.

Where does student health send their prescriptions to?

All prescriptions are now sent electronically to a pharmacy of your choice for you to collect, not collected from Student Health. We are currently not fitting coils, but we can provide you with interim contraception or refer you for a coil fit if necessary.

Is the NHS open on Saturdays for university students?

We offer a full NHS GP service for University students and their families The service will be open from 9:00am – 12:00pm on Saturday 1 st May for pre-booked appointments only. Telephone lines on Saturdays are closed.
